Design of doors inspired by the gods and goddesses of Ancient Egypt as well as the general iconography of this period, created as part of a project proposal in Cairo for the opening of the world’s largest museum: the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The door adorned with the head of a cat represents the goddess Bastet. Bastet is the Egyptian goddess of home, joy, warmth of the sun, maternity, and also the protective goddess of pregnant women and children.

The door adorned with the head of a crocodile represents the god Sobek. Sobek is the son of the aquatic goddess Neith and the twin gods Senwy. His status as the god of water and fertility makes him revered throughout the Nile Delta, the Fayoum, and at Kôm Ombo.
