The year 2020 will remain an unforgettable year for the whole world, and unfortunately marked by many tragic events. This greeting card illustrates the desire to start a new year on a good footing, with joy, mutual aid and respect for each person. Indeed, it is preferable to move forward, not by forgetting the past, but by learning from our mistakes. We need to move forward towards better things.

The visual on the front of the greeting card consists of two parts.

The first part of the text can be guessed, but it is almost impossible to read what it is about. The present text is a list of tragic events that have accumulated throughout the year 2020. We remember the fires in Australia, the appearance of the Covid-19, the brexit in England, the demonstrations in Honk-Hong. But also the social crisis in Latin America, the yellow jackets, the murder of George Floyd and the birth of the Black Lives Matter movement,  explosions in Beyrouth. Finally the global increase of pollution, terrorist attacks, police blunders, the establishment of a curfew, the hashtag #meetoo, the murder of Joyce Echaquan, among others.

2020 marked by too many unsustainable things that we must never forget in order to become better in the future.

The second part of the visual is a wave that comes to erase these moments, leaving room for a new page to write for the new year. It is up to all of us to act for a better world. Finally, overleaf, a quote from Serge Zeller reminds us to never give up: Everything that has a beginning has an end, but every end is the beginning of a new beginning.
