Visual Saturation (2016)

Visual Saturation is a series of four posters that I created in 2016 as part of my DNAP (National Diploma of Plastic Arts)
at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Besançon. This project aims to document the invasion of marketing in public space by combining all the logos encountered on the street, from point A to point B, on a specific date. The second part of this project involved installing a display module in the middle of a busy street. The goal was to disrupt the passers by’s routine and pique their curiosity.

The application protocol is as follows:

– The fluorescent green poster results from the protocol applied in my student apartment.
On 01.05.2016, 114 logos were found in an area of 28m2.

– The fluorescent yellow poster results from the protocol applied in my workspace at ISBA.
On 01.05.2016, 68 logos were found in an area of 308m2.

– The fluorescent pink poster results from the protocol applied on the street between 18 and 77 Rue Battant in Besançon. On 01.05.2016, 40 logos were found over a distance of 200m.

– The fluorescent orange poster results from the protocol applied to the journey by car between ISBA and my apartment.
On 01.05.2016, 48 logos were found over a distance of 3.2km.

The four posters thus reflect the quantity of logos present in our living spaces, allowing us to realize their varying
 degrees of invasion.
