This project is the result of a collaboration with the innovation and interactive experiences studio Kommon.io based in Montreal, Canada.

The final result is an immersive experience located at the heart of the Centre for the Interpretation of Maritime Cultures, an aquaculture farm nestled on the Îles-de-la-Madeleine in Quebec, Canada. Combining augmented reality headsets, explanatory panels, a historical timeline, and even floor markers, this designed space offers a groundbreaking approach to the world of mollusk farming, marine aquaculture, and lobster fishing, making it both playful and captivating.

The project’s graphic universe draws direct inspiration from the riches of marine and riverine environments, while also reflecting the beauty and uniqueness of the Centre for the Interpretation of Maritime Cultures’ location, with some shapes inspired by the contours of the island’s coastline, for example. Additionally, the team’s history and installations have been a fundamental source of inspiration in the graphic design process, adding a narrative and authentic dimension to the overall experience.
